29th May 2016 – Heritage Holiday

A bank holiday trip to Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath. Owned by Lord Mansfield who it turns out was the man who essentially abolished slavery in the UK. I feel like his name should be more widely known. And special thanks to English Heritage who keep this property free for all to visit!

A bank holiday trip to Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath. Owned by Lord Mansfield who it turns out was the man who essentially abolished slavery in the UK. I feel like his name should be more widely known. Also owned by Edward Guiness, of alcohol fame, who gave it to the nation, and special thanks to English Heritage who keep this property free for all to visit! Buying a cream tea is almost obligatory though.
